Vertical Panorama - The Dubai Mall
The Photomerge function of the Photoshop Essential works well not only for traditional horizontal panorama blending and merging. It makes vertical panoramic images as well.
The image above was "merged" from the six single images you can see as thumbnails below.
As with the horizontal panning you have to plan ahead, have a clear understanding of where you start and where you are going to stop. Keep it mind that the Photoshop will struggle with "merging" your series of single images and you may end up cropping the output. So to be safe, shoot wider and provide generous overlaps.
